I can't relate to a lot of these songs about soldiers. i'm from Annapolis, MD and i grew up around Navy SEALs and Marines. the army is not big around where i live it's the Navy or Marine Corps.

Gen Election due in May and it looks likely (but not certain) that the present shysters will be kicked out of Office. Unfortunately, our electoral system is so skewed towards the Labour Govt that even tho' the Opposition is ahead in the Polls they may not 'win.' Sadly tho', the Conservatives are also committed to staying in Afghanistan for the long(er) haul - so I doubt we will be getting out soon. But at least the Conservatives will fund the Armed Forces properly.

@123Boudicca I hear you, 123! Our Canadians are in the same situation. There was this contract to produce helicopters by a previous government. When the new admin got in, they cancelled it. Just because the other party did it. Now we hitch rides with the Yanks, or whomever will give us a ride. But, they're doing a helluva job given the circumstances. Canada is leaving Feb 2011. How about the Brits?
