@Therealmensa Natalie Maines was giving a performance in London, where her whole audience had Anti-War sentiments. She wasn't sharing her opinion as much as she was echoing her audience's. That's the job of a good entertainer. You make your audience feel at home. She didn't even want to go political. Besides, her statement was completely twisted by The Guardian. And, if you think I was poking at you to make you react, I apologize. That wasn't my intention. I just don't understand your opinion.

@shashwat986 No boycott. If decisions shouldn't be made on political opinion, then why did Natalie Maines, who wasn't being paid for her political opinion, feel it was so important to SHARE her opinion? You should see the logical conclusion; She wants to wax political instead of produce musical entertainment, then we'll judge her, not on her music but her politics. You should have more sense than that. Typical liberal... poke at someone till they react, then blame them because they do. FAIL.

ooookay.. so all political bullshit aside... i LOVE this song.. brings me back and make me fall in love with my boyfriend all over again. Certain songs just make you feel good and touch you in places that you didnt even know existed.. for me this is one of those songs..

@Therealmensa Did you know that good music is good music irrespective of the source? I street player, playing well deserves as much praise as a renowned artist. Why did people boycott the Dixie Chicks' next album? That had nothing to do with the controversy. Anyone who makes decisions on what to listen and what not to listen based on the political opinion of the singer, doesn't deserve to be called a Mensan. You should have more sense than that.

I love this band!! This music means something the lyrics are original from the heart! So much better than the modern rubbish that is out now!!

@bbaggins17 at last a voice of reason. Thanks for stepping up and saying what needed to be said! I'm a big chicks fan. These girls are the best, and I'm not really a big country music fan!! I noticed that he referred to liberal arts majors in one of his posts, I wonder what Mr. Mensa degree is. As an engineer, I understand that, rather than spend his time and energy pn something substantive, he tries to create controvercy. Week minded foo!!!
