Excuse me, people, but NO artist is the same 18 years after their first single debuted! It's not 1990 anymore and why would we want her to put out the same songs over and over? Artists have to evolve, and plus, u need to realize that she wasnt really allowed back then to incorporate r&b and hip hop into her music like she wanted to because Tommy wanted to preserve a certain image. Now shes free to be who she's always been but we never saw that part of her till like 1997

Mariah surpasses Whitney by far as for vocal range they both have great voices dont get me wrong but Mariah has her beat in the whistle register! They both are great artists though! A fan of both women.

I agree. She has a beautiful talent, but I don't enjoy her newer music either.

this is truly the way I like to here her sing because I did enjoy her voice and music in this time frame. However the so called music that she is singing now is garbage. She needs to revert back to this type of music that hits your soul and is very soothing to the soul.
