Great video. Brings back memories for me. I'm 58, and I saw them at DC stadium (Washington DC) August 19th, 1966. I was not quite 16 years old. They were brought on the field in an armor truck. Their opening acts were, Bobby Hebb-- singing "Sunny", and The Cyrkle, singing, "Turn Down Day". This is one moment in my life I will never forget. More great moments I'll never forget, I go to Miami ever September to see Barry Gibb of The Bee Gees. I visit him at his home.

They also played Shea again on their 1966 US tour on August 23...

@Deebers89,
"Just tell me where to look and I'm there, lol!!!"
Look for John & Yoko's album called, Two Virgins. You get Lennon naked front and back.

Lennon's playing his keyboards with his elbow because nobody could hear him anyway. And he knew it.

@agbz
"I think what really got to The Beatles about the concerts (listening to later interviews) was how the kids were getting beat up by the pigs."
One of the main reasons the Beatles stopped touring was due to all the screaming. They couldn't hear a thing they were playing.

"first ever gig"? This was their one and ONLY "gig" at Shea.
