So true, but i feel the ppl on stage didnt get time to talk and it whole show didnt get no where.. They brought up the issuse but didnt make a way to stop or just change it.
Me personly are tired hearing about money and just see half naked girls on the videos. Its starting to be a concept how to do a music video.. "Talk about money, throw some bitches in" = GOLD RECORD!

they unmask the key thing behind the spread of simplified culture too by saying the record company doesnst support the intellectuals, its because the company cant understand it as a product, and make decisons only based on money. a more responsible company wouldn't make decisions based on just profit, unless culture is chagned enough to make them accountable so that its reduces your profit if you have a bad reputation

'you as a preacher become a pimp to your hos' ha
the girl who says its fine to be a video girl to further your career, why is it just fine to participate if you know it contributes to an immature culture? the pornographic atmosphere psychologically justifies itself through instant gratification
to nelly, hip hops not a mirror, how can you call something that actively spreads around ideology a mirror, its putting the ideas into people. trying to justify his profitable exploitation heh

Sadly, that is the only message that's going out. Hardly anyone these days knows Hip Hop's actual roots past the 90s. It used to be far more than today.

its funny- i'm from australia, and the only portrayal of black ppl that i recieve is from music vids and movies- i must say that this is the 1st time i have EVER heard such intellectual conversation and debate as from this program! so therefore, i will support the argument that there needs to be a broader portrayal/imaging of black ppl in the media in general. conclusion: not every black person is a pimp/ hoe/ gang member- which is the msg i've got so far from everywhere |
