my guess would be the difference between hip hop and rap is that rap has more words and its a little faster. I prefer rap better. Hip hop is good too but these days its all basically retarded. I dont want to listen to crappy wanabe artists like Lil Wayne and Souja Boy or whatever the hell hes called. Those kind of people ruin the name.

the inner cities. It was more of an outlet for the youth to find something that would reveal their self-expression and at the same time, coporate America fed into it, and thus having the once rugged & raw streets of N.Y. and L.A. to Malibu and Miami Beach chillen in pimped houses. Thus, critizim. Nowadays, Hip-Hop just lost it's place. Talent is replaced for MONEY..Throw some loops and make a dance, and your a new soulja boy in the club. Hip-Hop needs to stay in the rubbles, like where it came.

I think every genre of music has it's phase that it goes through the decades. I did a report on Hip-Hop music when I was in high school. Since the 80's that it started to get more attention, it's always had it's share of critizism. People liked it, some people didnt like it. Same reasons why many of us now who favor 90s hip-hop rather than the "millies" era. Hip-hop was just coming out in the 80s and carried onto the 90s. There was always a need of new raw/fresh talent and a lot of it came from
