You all should look up the video of her on Inside the Actor's Studio (I think it's here on YouTube somewhere) when she talks about filming this scene. I thought this scene was amazing in the first place, but to know more about it after hearing her talk about it, I think it's one of the greatest performances caught on film.

I'm almost sad I was born 15 years too late to have witnessed when this movie came out in theatre's XD. She's amazing and to have seen this for the first time in theatres rather than at home on my little tv when I was little myself, would have been just as amazing.

I remember sitting in a movie theater in January,1969 as Barbra ended the film with this electrifying song. Everyone stood up and applauded, some called out "Bravo". No matter what she later did, nothing compared to this moment.
