BigSmoke, It is great they were being sensitive to our feelings (a lot of Americans were not), but this is a supportive song to me. "New Orleans is sinking and I don't want to swim." It means to me I would rather die in New Orleans than live elsewhere, which is the spirit of the city. It IS that special of a place. As I said, great song, great band. And thank you again to all the Canadians that have supported our survival!

The hip were playing a concert after katrina hit and people were screaming at them to play this song but they said no out of respect because people were suffering.

Great song and great band. I want to thank all the Canadian people that have been so supportive of my hometown New Orleans. One of the first rescue team to reach us were, you guessed it, the CANADIAN MOUNTIES out of Vancouver. New Orleans is still here fighting the good fight. And YES, it is a magical city. Come and visit so we can thank you in person.
