why, dont you like Yngwie Malmsteen?

Except Yngwie did it to boost his ego even higher. He was just shredding over an orchestra. Nothing more than arrogant wanking.
Vai, on the other hand, plays with the orchestra to produce some of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful pieces he's ever made. There's no comparison.

You have to agree that Steve is definitely the best. His songs are almost holy, and this one is a masterpiece. The feel he puts into every note just gets me every time.. My number one inspiration on guitar, next to Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson.

all you people who call him names for the faces he pulls while playing need to take a check and look at what you do. this guy not only is an amazing guitarist, hes also a classical composer and a record producer. this guy is worth millions without the record sales. at least when he plays live he isnt afraid of showing that the song has a lot of emotion and he really expresses that with his facial expressions. this song is by far not steve vais best song. but its his most expressive. kudos 2 Vai!
